Interview with Gutsy Girl Adventure Film tour

Interview with Gutsy Girl Adventure Film tour.

After a big year of work and travel it so nice to reflect on the last 10 years of my career. I started as a camera assistant working on Natural History films in Australia and New Zealand for the BBC.

This allowed me to watch from other great directors. One of the main things I learnt was the ability to craft a story from what footage you managed to get, rather than what you could genuinely direct and control at the time of filming. I would have never guessed this blend of capturing real-life action, interwoven with directed drama would become my signature approach to filmmaking.

As for adventure films; I still love working in remote, extreme places, such as mountain tops, and underwater. But, no matter where you go it has to be about the characters or a purpose that makes the story.
